Botox Treatment
Botox is a neuromodulator and one of the most well-known brands of botulinum toxin injections. When injected into the muscle, this product blocks certain nerve signals that make muscles contract, which relaxes and prevents it from moving for a period of time. It is used for a variety of treatment reasons, such as the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck, TMJ, teeth clenching and grinding, migraine and pain management and excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis. To maintain results, treatments should be repeated every three to six months.
For your safety, Botox injections can not be performed on women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Botox is the brand name of an injectable cosmetic treatment. It is the first and only FDA-approved treatment to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the area of the forehead, as well as between and around the eyes. It is a purified neurotoxin that works by blocking the nerve signals needed for facial muscles to contract. Once injected, the targeted muscles relax, decreasing their movement.
You can begin to see results as soon as 1-2 days following treatment, with full effect ranging between 7-14 days following injection.
Results are not permanent and typically last 3-4 months, at which point you can repeat the procedure. With time, some patients will require less frequent treatments.
Treatment requires minimal downtime. It’s possible to receive treatment in as little time as your lunch break from work and return to your daily routine immediately after you leave the office.
